Flowmeters of liquid media CORAL-8

The CORAL-8 liquid media flow meters are designed to measure the flow of various liquids in pipelines when conducting commercial and technological accounting of liquids in the housing and communal services, food industry, chemical and petrochemical industries, energy, including nuclear, in ship conditions, during transportation and accounting of petroleum products, and in other areas of the national economy.

 

Ultrasonic multipath time-pulse flowmeters. The principle of operation is based on the difference in the time of passage of ultrasound along the flow and against the flow.

 

A number of design and circuit solutions are used in flowmeters, which allow obtaining a number of advantages:

 

  • the flow meters are available in versions with one, three and six acoustic channels;
  • the limits of the permissible basic relative error of volume flow measurements are ±0.25 % for flow meters with six acoustic channels of the primary converter, ±0.5 % for flow meters with three acoustic channels of the primary converter, ±1 % for flow meters with one acoustic channel of the primary converter;
  • the dynamic range of measuring signals has been expanded;
  • the resolution of the time interval meter has been increased;
  • the inertia of the flow meters is significantly reduced when there is a sharp change in the flow rate of the liquid;
  • the installation-free periodic verification of flow meters is implemented in the conditions of the order without the use of additional devices and devices;
  • automatic gain control and digital processing of measurement signals are implemented;
  • the verification interval has been increased to 3 years and the operating time without maintenance has been increased;
  • algorithms for self-diagnosis of malfunctions and their classification are implemented: diagnostics of communication cable breakage, dehumidification of the primary converter and turbidity of the flow.

Flow meters are designed to measure the flow of sea, fresh and distilled water, petroleum products, alcohols, alkalis, liquefied gases.

Depending on the diameter of the conditional passage, the upper limit of measurements (Qmax), the design of the primary converter, the number of acoustic channels (N) and the basic error (dQ), the flow meters have the versions indicated in the table:

On request, it is possible to manufacture flow meters with characteristics other than those indicated above.

 

Flowmeters, depending on the type of measured medium, have versions:

 

  • I – sea water;
  • II – fresh water, distilled water according to GOST 6709-72, water bidistillate;
  • III – spent petroleum products according to GOST 21046-2015, oil according to GOST R 51858-2020, diesel fuel according to GOST 305-2013, motor fuel according to GOST R 54283-2010, oil fuel for gas turbine installations according to GOST 10433-75; fuel oil according to GOST 10585-2013, an aqueous solution of ethyl alcohol;
  • IV – amyl, brine 60 ‰.

The flowmeters meet the requirements for electromagnetic compatibility in an electromagnetic environment of medium rigidity according to performance group III and the quality of operation A.

 

According to the number of output signals, the flow meters are two-channel with digital and analog outputs.

 

The connection to the digital output must be carried out via the RS 485 interface using a special information exchange protocol.

 

The method of verification of flow meters provides for the possibility of verification without dismantling from the object of operation.

 

Flow meters are produced according to the technical specifications of AGТS.407251.002 TU.

The flow meters have a multi-block and single-block design.

 

Flowmeters of multi-block design consist of a primary converter PP-1 (PP-3 or PP-6), depending on the design of the flowmeter, a secondary converter VP-1 (VP-3 or VP-6), a connecting communication cable with a primary converter KS-1-1 (KS-1-3 or KS-1-6), a connecting communication cable with a secondary converter KS-2-1 (KS-2-3 or KS-2-6), a transition coupling M-4 (M-12 or M-24).

 

Single-block flowmeters consist of a primary converter PP-1 (PP-3 or PP-6), structurally combined with a secondary converter VP-1 (O) (VP-3(O) or VP-6 (O)).

 

The adapter coupling is designed to ensure the passage of the cable through sealed bulkheads. On request, it is possible to supply flow meters without a coupling with one KS-1 communication cable.
