Automated Vessel Landing Control System (ASC)

The ASC system is designed to provide control of the parameters of the landing of the vessel.

The ASC system is proposed for use on all types of ships and vessels of the military and civil fleet to assess the stability during operation.

 

The ASC system provides:

 

  • determination of landing parameters both on calm water and with sea waves up to 6 points;
  • trouble-free continuous operation without direct local maintenance and monitoring;
  • measurement of vessel draft parameters:
    — on quiet water with a basic absolute error of ± 5 mm;
    — on a wave with a basic absolute error of no more than 100 mm;
  • calculation and display on computer screens of the landing parameters of the vessel from the measured values of the draft:
    — roll (in degrees);
    — trim (in meters and degrees);
    — vessel displacement in terms of static position (in tons and as a percentage of total displacement);
  • output to the automated control system of the landing parameters of the vessel and information about the technical condition of the system with a frequency of at least 2 Hz;
  • compensation of the influence of the wind component on the calculated landing values;
  • display on panel stations of information in the form of video frames about the position of the vessel and landing parameters (static and dynamic);
  • the interface with the automated control system is provided via an RS-485 interface (with a frequency of at least 2 Hz) with a communication line length of up to 400 m inclusive.
The ASC system remains operational under the following operating conditions:
- on-board pitching with an amplitude of ± 45° and an impact period of 7 to 16 s;
- pitching pitching with an amplitude of ± 15° and an impact period of 6 to 8 s;
- simultaneous impact of on-board pitching with an amplitude of up to 45° and a period of 7 to 16 s, keel pitching with an amplitude of 15° and an impact period of 6 to 8 s;
- long (without time limit) slopes in any direction with a maximum angle of 15°;
- temperature range of operation of the ASC system: from-30 to + 60°C;
- power supply parameters: from a DC network with a rated voltage of 27.0-28.5 V

The ASC system consists of:

shipboard reflectometric level meters of the KRU-1 RS type;processing and interfacing devices;
wind pressure devices;
a dynamic correction unit;
3 specialized panel computers KPS 1904, equipped with a special operating system, located in the central control post of the ship and in local posts;
distribution box;
converter of PI-485 interfaces.
